About SLinkator

The SLinkator is a tool created for builders of Second Life.
With this tool the builder can create packages containing structures of any size, rotating and repositioning structures with infinite objects in a circunference with a diameter of up to 200 meters (almost a whole island) , linking objects even when you get the message "Link
Failed - pieces are too far apart" or somethig like that, maintaining the efficiency of scripts that are embedded in objects of the structure.

1. Packager and Seller (large or small structures)

One of the most complicated for those who just want to buy a house furnished, for example, is the "break-head part", the buyer need fix the postion of each prim, prim by prim. In some cases we found houses which has been all linked by CTRL + L of Second Life, but this could be a severa problem. Selling pieces of the house and let the buyer mount it is really very boring. We can find places that has divided in some parts ... The buyer puts them all in the open floor and begin the break-head, and if he want to change it to place one day, he will have to do it again.
With SLinkator you just play all objects within a cube (the SLinkator) and sell the package. The buyer only has to click on the cube and the complete structure will be automatically created. He will can rotate and reposition the entire structure handle only the SLinkator, and any time he can keep it again. All this is done using an interactive menu generated by SLinkator.

2. Link Objects with scripts.

Example: http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=RpVUPNrQAX8

There are situations where it is not interesting link two objects by the method of SL. For obvious reasons you should not link the carpet of the room with sofa, or the alarm system with the door or a wall with the floor... You may be asking: "Why not?".

Many objects have scripts, and often must be separated from others who have also, because otherwise ... Who will call the event or function?. You also do not want someone sitting in the lamp when should be seated in the chair, this hapen when the objects are linked by Second Life, but not by SLinkator. And you probably want to change the texture of just one object, not of he whole house... If the whole house is linked by SL , you should be unlink all to change the texture of the ground without changing the rest. We can find many situations where it is not appropriate to link with the system of Second Life, and you, as the builder must have experienced many of them.

3. 3. Link Objects "far away".

Example: http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=bBOoMw-AFZ8

One of the problems encountered by the builder is when you try to link objects that are determined to distance the system of Second Life does not link. Int his situation the viewer display the message: "Link Failed - pieces too far apart" or "Link Failed - Unable to link any pieces - pieces too far apart." This distance is relative to the size of objects.
For example, if you create 2 cubes with 0.5 meters and place them at 5 meters away, you will can't link them by SL.
